GETTING TO DIVEGURUS BORACAY BEACH RESORT

You can travel by plane from Manila or Cebu to Caticlan, the airport closest to Boracay. Due to the short runway, passengers are strictly limited to 10kgs. baggage.  From Caticlan Airport, take a short tricycle ride to Caticlan Jetty Port (P50.00 for up to three passengers).  A tricycle is a low-slung 3-wheeled vehicle used all over the Philippines.

A tip for guests arriving at Caticlan Airport: register at the airport information counter to avoid long lines at the jetty port registration.

An alternative to Caticlan Airport is Kalibo Airport, about 68 km away on the northwest coast of Panay Island. Airlines flying in and out of Kalibo (from Manila, Cebu and Clark) generally allow 15 kgs of baggage or more. Public as well as private transport vehicles will take you to straight to Caticlan Jetty Port, where you can take a short ferry ride to Boracay Island.

A tip for budget-conscious passengers: from Kalibo Airport take a tricycle and ask the driver to take you to the L3 Boracay terminal in Kalibo City. The tricycle ride costs P100 for up to three passengers, including any amount of baggage you can squeeze in. Guests going to the Caticlan Jetty Port from the L3 terminal in Kalibo City pay only P100 per head for the ride to Caticlan Jetty Port, while the charge from Kalibo Airport to Caticlan Jetty Port is P250 per person. Downside: the van will only leave when it has a full load of 12 passengers. This usually only takes a few minutes during the day, longer at night, and it may be a fairly tight squeeze for "Western-size" passengers.

Once you arrive at Caticlan Jetty Port, pay the terminal fee and the environmental fee and get your boat ticket (Php 100.00, 75.00 and 25.00 per person respectively). After 6 pm the boat fare increases to P30.00.

After a 15-minute boat ride, you will be in Boracay! Take a tricycle at the tricycle terminal just off the landing port and tell the driver you want to go to A-Rock in Station Three. The tricycle will take up to three passengers with baggage for the set price of Php 100 per trip.  From A-Rock it is a few meters walk (towards the beach!!!) to DGBBR where a warm and friendly welcome awaits you.
